My birthday is the day before Halloween, so naturally…I’m a fan of a holiday that everyone celebrates the day after. Why do you ask? Is it the slutty schoolgirls shooting spooky spirits? Is it the fact that every Halloween party feels like it’s being thrown for me? Is it the fact that my parents told me as a child that those that celebrate this “satanic” night are going to hell and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

Probably a combination of all (and maybe not as much that last one). But if there’s one thing I especially love about Halloween, it’s the movies. I love horror movies. And I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, the absolute best Halloween movie of all time does not feature Michael Myers. It features…a kid with a pumpkin head.

But seriously, Trick ‘r Treat is my favorite Halloween movie of all time and it is DRASTICALLY underrated. The college party sloots, the trick or treating kids, the stay at home grumps; everything is tackled and spun into this wonderful anthology that unveils in a Pulp Fiction-eqsue way. And every single story comes with a twist that you will not see coming, just like all the best horror movies.

I watch this classic every single year and if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t wait any longer. Seriously, what else are you gonna do this year for Halloween?
